Where we are
The Mid Wales/Shropshire Border is usually somewhere most people just pass through on their way somewhere else. This has two consequences, one that it is a beautifully peaceful area for us lucky residents, and secondly that it is a hidden gem that only a few holidaymakers have discovered. I shall be telling you more about this locality in future newsletters, for instance the breathtaking scenery, the abundance of wild birds, the common land and forestry, local pubs and shops and events.

Girl Friday Daisy Roots
We have known Daisy for about 5
years, when Richard and I collected her from Gravesend and brought her to New Cwm. She
went on loan for a while, but is now looking for a new “loaner”. Aside from having the longest name for any ordinary pone that I have
ever come across, Daisy is very good natured, and her attitude belies her
age – she is not above galloping round the field with the others when I
turn them out, and could be ridden quietly, or would make a superb
companion. At the ripe old age
of 33 she has lost a few teeth (not surprisingly), but I have not found it a
problem keeping the weight on her, and as you can see, the sweet New Cwm
grass obviously suits her! More details can be obtained from
her owners: Jill Stevens
