BORDER HOLIDAYS AND HORSES

Adams Anchorage and New Cwm Farm

Richard and Nancy Adams

Richard Adams is a local man, the son of a local farmer. He worked on the family farm until his father retired through ill health. He cannot remember learning to ride - it came to him as a young child as naturally as walking.

As a naturally gifted horseman with a great love of horses, Richard uses sensible training methods. He can assess any horse quickly and approaches its training/breaking in an individual manner.

Problem horses and ponies are sympathetically sorted. Even difficult animals can be trained by Richard; he has trained llamas and guanacos in the past(!) He also trains working sheepdogs, and possesses Craftsman's Certificates in animal husbandry.

Richard breaks horses and ponies to ride and drive and also trains trotters and pacers competing with the Wales and Border Counties Racing Association, of which he is a long-time member. Come and join us at a trotting race meet - an exciting day out!

Nancy has been involved with horses on and off since childhood and was a Pony Club mum when both her children were members and still owns their first pony! She moved into the area in 1995 with three horses and met Richard when she had problems with her four year old.

Come and sample our Bed and Breakfast for Horses
